Rotate the pick 90` and strum with the rubber side or back end if the pick, This technique gives you a very soft sound. Great for strumming at night when others are sleeping. Unfortunately, you really cannot play lead this way - and you might drop it.
Insert the Wing pick between the strings and neck at the 2nd and 3rd frets as shown here. It is very hard to lose the pick once you have done this and make it a habit.
If/when your hand gets a bit sweaty, the rubber actually gets tackier, giving you a better grip. Really! It's true. No more need for that sticky "monkey goo".
The rubber layer on the Wing pick is very pliable and ergonomic. It allows your fingers to grip to the pick and manipulate it for better playing and feel.
We have discovered that the Wing pick has a very long lifespan. Good for you,..bad for us. If your pick gets a little rounded due to lots of playing, just take some sandpaper and sharpen it. Bet you never heard that before.
